Acknowledging the suggestion of many of our supporters overseas, CSS was registered in the USA as “Centre for Center for Social Service International Inc“ in 2010. It is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization and eligible for filing federal tax exemption for all US donations received.
The main goal was set to muster support for various CSS projects in India through fund raising and awareness campaigns. People in USA can now easily contribute through online PayPal donations , get corporate match for the donations from their employers , get directly involved in organizing fund raising programs and also help CSS residential girls who plan pursue higher studies in the US with their support and guidance.
She is currently retired in 2015 after practicing Internal Medicine and Geriatrics at Albuquerque, New Mexico State, USA since 1981. She is ably supported by her husband Dr. Choudary C. Ganga in all her social work activities in India and USA. Mrs.Lakshmi Ganga as the President of CSS along with her husband has played a critical role in the growth of the Organization on several fronts.
He retired in March 2015 after practicing as an Anesthesiologist at Albuquerque, New Mexico State, USA since 1981.He and his wife, Lakshmi have both contributed to improve their respective villages and supported social and educational activities both on their own and through charitable organizations in India and U.S.A. They are now helping CSS monetarily both on personal level as well as through their contacts and friends abroad.
Mrs. Rohitha has been a volunteer with CSS since its inception. She is based out of San Diego, California and works for Qualcomm as a Software Engineer. She holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from San Diego State University. She is the daughter of Mrs.Vemuri Vijaya Lakshmi and follows her mother’s footsteps in harboring a passion for the social causes CSS supports.
Ms. Lalita Devarakonda is an attorney with law degrees from Andhra University, India, and the University of New Mexico (2001). She currently works as a Senior Attorney in a Civil Practice Law firm in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she has resided for the past 19 years, with her husband and daughter. Outside of her law practice, she is an active member of the local Indian community, assists needy Indian families with legal needs on issues of domestic relations and litigation, and volunteers for her daughter's primary school. Charitable causes her family is committed to include helping children in need and education with the firm belief that a helping hand at an early age and a focus on education are crucial to rescuing children from an endless cycle of poverty and lack of opportunity. She has been on the board of CSS for the past one year.
